Independence Day celebrations on 15th Aug 2024 marked the day when India gained freedom from British rule in 1947. A day to honour the sacrifices of our great leaders & freedom fighters who struggled for India's independence and whose passion & patriotism is worth reminiscing.
The celebrations commenced with a Guard of Honour by the NCC cadets welcoming the Chairman, Mr. Umar Ismail Khan; the Hon.Secretary, Mr. Zubair Anwar; the Chief Guest, Retd. Lt. Col. J. V. Prasad along with a large gathering of Executive Council Members, Principals, staff, students and parents. This was followed by hoisting the national flag and singing of national anthem.
Dr. B. A. Anuradha, Principal, Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies delivered the welcome address reminding the gathering to cherish the freedom that we enjoy and honour & appreciate the heroes of our nation.
The Chief Guest, Retd. Lt. Col. J. V. Prasad in his address advised the students to work together, have the courage to always stand up for what is right, uphold the dignity of our nation and make our country proud.
Our students put up a colourful show of cultural programmes reflecting the country’s rich history and depicting the bravery and sacrifices made by the freedom fighters which included an array of patriotic costume displays, skits, poetry recitation, singing songs & performing dances. The Chairman, Hon.Secretary & the Executive Council members gave away cash prizes to the best performances.
