International Women’s Day
on On 9th March 2026

Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies in Association with Karnataka Management Association & Indian Society for Training & Development celebrated “International Women’s Day” cherishing women's achievements, resilience, and equality, highlighting their crucial, often underestimated roles in society as a mother, a daughter and a wife.

DThe programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Dr. B. A. Anuradha, Principal in her address welcomed the distinguished guests & the erudite women awardees that have a strong influence on the society. In her address she said that “Empowerment is not just about money, it is financial independence coupled with the respect she gets from the men around her, be it her husband, her family, her colleagues or the society”. “Become a woman who has money in her pocket, knowledge in her mind, kindness in her heart, confidence on her face & responsibility in her soul.” “Some women carry laptop bags, some carry grocery bags, some carry babies, some women carry emotional baggages’, but every women carries responsibility, strength, dreams and Love. She emphasized that we celebrate every women by recognizing the strength, resilience, and unique contributions in all aspects of life.

Dr. C Manohar, Chairman, ISTD Bangalore Chapter; Senior Director, ISBR & Guest of Honour in his speech said that “Women’s Day is about celebrating the complete story of womanhood — strength, wisdom, courage, creativity, compassion and leadership. Days like this remind us that women are actually running the world — and very efficiently too — while we are still figuring out the meeting agenda!” Mr. Zubair Anwar, Hon. Secretary, Al-Ameen Educational Society in his presidential address congratulated all the women on the occasion of International Women’s Day and said that we have gathered here to honour the strength, courage & achievements of women from being mother & teacher to being leaders & influencers. He saluted all the women – the everyday heroes for breaking the barriers, recognizing their resilience & driving progress. He said that a woman deserves gender equality & it’s crucial to ensure that she achieves her dreams. We should honor the courage of women who face challenges head-on and continue to rise and we should support & empower them not just today but every day. The least we can do is giving women what they deserve and sky is the limit, he reiterated.

On the occasion awards were given away to 16 women achievers for their intellectual accomplishments, contribution to the society, leadership & as a source of inspiration for future generations.

Sunil Kosky, a singer, vocal coach, music producer and the founder of From Mug To Mike gave a musical tribute to the women for always being so inspirational.

A ramp walk by the women achievers; expression of gratitude & sharing of thoughts by few of the awardees transformed the event into a memorable & emotionally resonant experience.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. V. R. Ravikumar, Founder & President, Karnataka Management Association(KMA). He evinced interest, as part of KMA’s initiative to help Al-Ameen students in terms of educating women & suiting the placement requirements by guiding students upgrading their skills in par with the latest developments.

A unique way to celebrate the day was by setting up stalls featuring local women entrepreneurs, fostering a supportive community, promoting both local talent and the professional & personal growth of women.
