Indian Red Cross Society

Indian Red Cross Society, an International Organization constituted under the Act of Parliament – Indian Red Cross Society Act XV 1920 (as Amended by Act No. 22 of 1956 and the Adaptation of Laws (No 4) order of 1957 and the Act. No. 14 of 1992) and is a voluntary organization meant for Humanitarian Services, operational under ICRC – International Committee of Red Cross, which works throughout the world to protect & assist victims of armed conflict & strife. All of its activities are based on the rules of International Humanitarian Law.

Mission

The Indian Red Cross Society aims to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times, all forms of humanitarian activities so that human suffering can be minimized, alleviated and even prevented, thus contribute to creating a more congenial climate for peace.

Youth Red Cross

The Youth Red Cross is a group movement organized for students, to be trained & encouraged to manage the affairs of the group and inculcating in the youth the ideal and practice of service especially in relation to :

  • Taking care of own health and that of others
  • Understanding and accepting of civic responsibilities.
  • Maintaining the spirit of friendliness and helpfulness towards other youths in India and all over the world.
  • Dissemination of Red Cross Movement
