India is a unique nation, whose fabric has been woven by diverse linguistic, cultural and religious threads held together into a composite nation of rich history & culture. Time and technology have narrowed down distances in terms of connect & communication. And so it became imperative to establish cultural exchanges in this era that facilitates mobility & outreach. The Prime Minister of India mooted this idea of sustained & structured cultural connect during Rashtriya Ekta Divas.
Thus mutual interaction & reciprocity between the states under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) was introduced by pairing of Higher Educational Institutions so that the common spirit of understanding resonates throughout the country – unity in diversity through programmed structured engagements in the spheres of language, literature, cuisine, festivals, cultural events, tourism etc.
Student exchange programme was initiated as per AICTE & the Ministry of Human Resource Development between Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies & Kumaun University, Nainital. 50 students from each institute were part of the student exchange programme.
